Moomba and Gamelan

It was quite the adventure this year when jade and i were asked by old friend jeremy Dullard of the Gamelan DanAnda academy to perform as part of the Moomba day parade. So in front of thousands of people we dressed up,  lined up for hours then walked the 40 minute march.  My “Ponggang” drums were slipping all over the place and made it difficult to keep the rhythm, jades arm seized up because the gong was heavy and she was walking holding it

However, despite our serious injures It was fun  and Gamelan is an amazing sound all un to itself. If anyone is interested in learning this amazing Indonesian music you can contact jeremy at his academy
